| Cougars Curb Imperials, 4-3 | Chicago picked up a win at Cougars Park, bumping off the New York Imperials, 4-3. Pitcher Ken Stone was a major reason the Cougars emerged victorious. Picking up the save was Pug White, his 10th. The victory gives Chicago a record of 41-31.
The Cougars got a big at-bat from second baseman Jack Gibson. For the game, Gibson was 1 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 times. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 18th home run of the season gave Chicago a 4-3 lead.
"I still think this team can play even better," Gibson told the Chicago Chronicle.
