Minutemen Drop Suns, 2-1 | The Boston Minutemen claimed a close win over the Los Angeles Suns, due in large part to Dick Wilson. The Boston right-hander pitched a great game to secure the 2-1 win. Bob Hollister was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 1 of 2 save opportunities. The losing streak for Los Angeles has now reached 4 games.
Joe Kleman came through with a big-time hit for Boston. The shortstop smacked a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"Both teams played hard," said Boston manager Bill Freeman. | |
