Sohl Stands Out in Detroit Shutout | In a seemingly effortless performance, Bill Sohl of the Detroit Dynamos shot down the Philadelphia Keystones 2-0 on a 3-hit shutout.
"Bill was just locating so well and using his pitches," Detroit manager Dick York said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate."
Sohl recorded 2 strikeouts and 2 walks in a strong outing.
"When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Philadelphia manager Carl Ames said in postgame comments to BNN. "We couldn't get a key hit off him."
