Watson Helps Cougars Win, 12-5, with Pair of Homers
Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Dallas Wranglers take on the Chicago Cougars.

The Chicago Cougars cut down the Dallas Wranglers by the score of 12-5, with the largest share of the credit going to right fielder Henry Watson. Watson hit 2 home runs. He drove in 7 runs and scored twice for the Cougars. Dick Champ was the winner. He's now 3-7. The loser was 33-year old left-handed pitcher Steve Miller.

In the top of the third, Watson had a 3-run home run for Chicago. It was his 13th home run of the season and put the Cougars on top, 5-2.

"You need to show up when your number's called," said Watson.

Chicago has now won 3 straight, while the Wranglers have lost 3 in a row.
