Boston Defeated By Chiefs, 7-4
The Chicago Chiefs and Boston Minutemen completed their game despite the inclement weather.

The Chicago Chiefs topped the Boston Minutemen, 7-4, in Federal Association action at Whitney Park. The standout performance belonged to Chicago pitcher and Dickson, Tennessee, native Fred Moore. Moore, the winner, moves to 5-5. He threw 5 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 2 walks.

Moore contributed a big hit, a bases-clearing double, for Chicago in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 2-0, Moore took a fastball from Fred McKnight and stroked the double to right. His 2nd double of the season allowed the Chiefs to leap in front, 3-2.

"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Moore told the Chicago Herald.

Chicago, at 34-28, holds down 4th place in the Federal Association.
