Millers Drop Eagles, 2-1 | The Washington Eagles and Minneapolis Millers provided some drama for the home crowd.
Washington wasted a solid 7-inning effort from starting pitcher Foster Sherman, losing to Minneapolis, 2-1, at Columbia Stadium. The loss drops the Eagles to 12-16.
The Millers got a gift in the top of the sixth inning, when they were trailing 1-0. With two out and the bases loaded, Walter Medlin reached on an error by the 2B, driving in 2 runs. It made the score 2-1, Minneapolis.
