The home crowd had a good time watching the New York Gothams and Detroit Dynamos get after it.

Detroit center fielder Ed MacNaughton had a 3-RBI game, which helped his team beat the New York Gothams, 8-3. The 9th-place Gothams dropped to 23-37.

With Detroit leading 1-0 in the bottom of the second, MacNaughton hit a fastball from Clarence Reimer for a 3-run home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Dynamos ahead, 4-0.

"This was a total team effort," said MacNaughton.
