| Keystones Get Plucky, 5-4 Win Over Minutemen | The Philadelphia Keystones defeated the Boston Minutemen, 5-4, at Minuteman Stadium. Philadelphia was led by six-time All-Star Roger Cleaves, who went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The winning pitcher was Troy Crockett. He's now 6-6. He went 7 innings, allowing 3 runs on 9 hits for the Keystones. The last-place Keystones now have a record of 30-44.
Philadelphia took a 5-3 lead on Cleaves's 14th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Pepper Tuttle in the top of the eighth, propelled Philadelphia to the win.
