The Eagles had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Miners going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the four-time All-Star Reid McLaughlin came to the plate. McLaughlin hit a 3-run home run on a 2-1 fastball from Washington hurler John Herron. It was McLaughlin's 4th home run of the year.
"Anytime I can help the team, I feel good about it," said McLaughlin. | |
