Keystones Roll to 9-2 Win Over Eagles | Philadelphia third baseman Rudy Minton helped his team beat the Washington Eagles, 9-2. Minton, who is tied for 8th in the FA in home runs with 3, went 3 for 4 for the Keystones. Washington, at 5-12, is off to a poor start in 1955.
Making an impact for the home team was Red Ellis. In the bottom of the first, the 28-year old shortstop had a run-scoring walk. That made the score 3-1, Keystones.
