In a tight tilt between the Dallas Wranglers and the San Francisco Sailors, Steve Miller was the deciding factor. The Dallas left-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. Dallas, with the win, is 19-40.

Dallas got a knockout punch from Ken Hudson. The pinch hitter hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"The other side played a good game," said San Francisco manager Chris Beck. "You tip your cap to them."
