| Pioneers Turn Away Suns, 4-3 | The St. Louis Pioneers grabbed a win, 4-3, over the Los Angeles Suns at Pioneer Field III. St. Louis shortstop Paul Watson was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The Pioneers have an impressive 74-39 record.
St. Louis took a 4-0 lead on Watson's 6th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Grant Davis in the bottom of the sixth, propelled St. Louis to the win.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Watson said.
