2-1 Loss Extends Dallas Losing Streak | Chicago right-hander Roy Ellis helped his team edge Dallas by the score of 2-1. Ellis kept the opposing lineup in check. Ellis got the win, improving to 6-4. He gave up 4 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. He allowed 1 run. Getting the save was Pug White, his 8th.
Dode Caudill went 1 for 2 with a double and a walk for Chicago. The 24-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Sid Moulton. It was his 29th RBI of the season.
