Pioneers Handed 7-5 Loss by Boston | The Boston Minutemen spoiled a good performance by St. Louis left fielder Danny Davis, bumping off St. Louis, 7-5, at Minuteman Stadium. Davis was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. George Kollock earned the win for Boston. He lasted 6.2 innings, allowing 5 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 6. With the win, he raised his record to 4-5. The Minutemen raised their record to 20-34.
Frank Kirouac hit a run-scoring triple off Danny Daniels in the bottom of the fourth, which put the Minutemen in front, 1-0. Kirouac had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 3.
