Keystones Win, 6-5, in 10 | The performance of Bob G. Murphy proved critical in helping Philadelphia beat Minneapolis, 6-5, in 10 innings. The Keystones second baseman belted 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Philadelphia pitcher Charlie Rushing got the win, upping his record to 1-2. Dan Charlton got the loss. Philadelphia goes to 12-9.
The climactic moment came in the bottom of the tenth for Philadelphia. That's when Andy Parker, who is tied for 10th in the FA in bases on balls with 12, hit a run-scoring double off Dan Charlton to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.
"There's no quit in this team," said Keystones manager Don Fox. | |
