Ivey Now 2-1 After Beating Pioneers | Philadelphia Keystones pitcher Sam Ivey was in fine form, leading his team past the St. Louis Pioneers, 5-1. The Pioneers drop to 4-8, as their stumbling start to the 1957 season continues.
Ivey picked up the win. He's now 2-1, after putting the St. Louis offense in the deep freeze. Over 7.2 innings, he allowed no earned runs on 3 hits.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Philadelphia manager Don Fox. | |
