| Kings Win, 8-2, Extend Streak to 5 Games | The Kansas City Kings defeated the Montreal Saints, 8-2. Catcher Bob Burge deserved a large share of the credit. Burge went 3 for 5 with 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Kings. Kansas City pitcher Beau McClellan got the win, upping his record to 2-8. George Polk got the loss. Kansas City now sits at 32-23, while Montreal falls to 29-28.
In the bottom of the first inning, center fielder Charlie Rogers had a 2-run triple for Kansas City. It was his 10th triple of the season and put the Kings on top, 2-0.
"We didn't put our best foot forward tonight," said losing manager Tom Paul.
