Suns Victorious at Boston, 5-2 | The Los Angeles Suns took on the Boston Minutemen at Minuteman Stadium.
The Los Angeles Suns racked up a win at Minuteman Stadium, bumping off the Boston Minutemen, 5-2. Grant Davis, who started for Los Angeles, pitched effectively for his team. Davis, the winner, moves to 1-0. He threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 3 walks.
With no one out in the bottom of the sixth, Bill Tutwiler had a chance to do some damage. Boston was trailing 5-0, but had runners on 1st and 3rd. Tutwiler came to the plate against Grant Davis, and grounded out, driving in 1 run. But it was not enough to complete a Boston comeback.
Los Angeles goes to 7-4 with the win. | |
