| Montreal Decked by Case, Cannons | Cincinnati right fielder Joe Case had a 4-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Montreal Saints, 9-2. Hal Adams, who went 5.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 5 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 5. His record now stands at 2-0. Cincinnati now owns a record of 21-24.
Dallas Berry had a big run-scoring double for the Cannons in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Cincinnati leading 3-2 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Jim Montgomery, who is tied for 7th in the CA in quality starts with 6, and swatted a double to right. It was his 6th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Cannons ahead, 4-2.
